Do you need to see the progress of e.g. a project but do not have time to look at all the assigned tasks and their statuses? If you cannot easily view this information, you may spend a lot of time trying to figure it out. With Tape's customizable status bar for views, you can instantly see how is progressing.

Add, edit and use a status bar in your views

Add a status bar to your view

  • Tap on your desired view in the left view sidebar

  • Hover over the view name and click the ... settings menu

  • Click on Status bar to open the dropdown and choose one of the following options

    • For View - Accumulated progress of all splits

    • For splits - Displays the progress of each split only

    • For all - Shows both, the progress for the view and the progress for each split

  • The selection you have made will be saved automatically and displayed immediately in your view sidebar

πŸ’‘ Note: In order for this feature to be available, the app must have a status field.

Edit a status bar in your view

  • Tap on your desired view in the left view sidebar

  • Hover over the view name and click the ... settings menu

  • Click on Status bar to open the dropdown

  • Choose either one of the other options for showing the progress or click on Hide to show no progress

  • The changes you make will be automatically saved and displayed in your view sidebar immediately

Use a status bar in your views

Regardless of the progress option you choose, you can use your view sidebar's status bar in several ways:

  • The progress is visualized by a blue (complete) or gray (incomplete) line

  • Hover over each part of your status bars to get an even better overview of the progress:

    • The blue part will show the count of how many are complete

    • The gray part will show the count of how many are incomplete

  • Click on each split with a status bar to see the records within this split
