Tape is designed for you to add as much information as you and your team need to solve any problem. With Search, you can easily navigate and access your data whenever you need it.
Use search
When you want to find something specific, like a record, click
Search
at the top of your left-hand sidebar. You can also open search with shortcutcmd/ctrl
+P
.Type your search term at the top of the search window. You'll also see your recently viewed records or apps listed below so you can click to jump to one of them right away. This window is keyboard friendly, too, so you can use your arrow keys to scroll.
To help you find information more quickly, labels like
database
,dashboard
orworkspace name
will appear next to certain results. You can also hover over search results to see the timestamp and username for created and last edit.
💡 Tip: Hold cmd/ctrl
while clicking any of these results to open in a new tab.
Refine your search results
When you search for something, you'll see the option to sort and filter from inside the search window so you can quickly find what you’re looking for.
You can sort by:
Best Matches
(default): shows the most relevant results. Content that have been recently edited show up higher on the list, and record titles are more likely to show up than record contents.Last modified: newest first
: shows content in order of how recently it was edited by you or someone else in your organization.Last modified: oldest first
: shows content in order of how long it has gone without an edit by you or someone else in your organization.Created: newest first
: shows content in order of how recently it was created.Created: oldest first
: shows content in order of how long it has been since it was created.
You can filter by:
Created by
: shows content created by one or more people in your organization.Workspace
: shows content included in the workspace you select.App
: shows content included in the app you select.Date
: shows content that was created or modified within a chosen date range. To set a range, selectToday
,Last 7 days
,Last 30 days

Recent pages
When you first open the search window, you'll see a list of content from your organization that you've visited lately and when.
