Here is a quick overview of how to share entire workspaces with selected people, your whole organization, or the entire web. Just as you like.

For every workspace, there are three different workspace share levels:

  • Full access - can edit, structure and share

  • Can edit - can edit, but not structure and share

  • No access

If you wish to share a workspace, make sure you have full access permissions and only share a workspace once it is ready.

Currently, there are two levels of permissions in Tape's hierarchy structure. The organization and each workspace individually. To learn more about the hierarchy structure in Tape, click here.

Share your work with the web

Turn any workspace into a public page and update it live via records. When your Tape workspace is public, anyone - who knows the unique URL - can read it. Embedding the unique URL into your website for example just like our published roadmap.

To share your workspace with the web:

  • Click on the Share button at the top middle of your screen

  • Toggle on Share to web in the top right corner of the menu - from now on the workspace is public

  • Click Copy link to share your workspace, send the unique URL to everyone or use it to embed on a website

  • In addition: Toggle on Allow duplicate as template

πŸ’‘ Tape partners use Share to web to transfer apps from one Tape organization to another. Duplicate content and structure. Move all apps into one workspace by drag & drop, including record field values and relations fields to apps within the same workspace.

Change workspace share settings

Go to the Share button at the top middle of your screen, next to the search, and change the settings you want at any time.
